About Me

Long gone are the days of waiting for life to start- I'm in Europe...I've literally been waiting my whole life for this. I want to see the world and I know how cliche that sounds but I yearn to experience everything. I get excited by old buildings. New foods intrigue me. My go-getter personality and approachable manner are compatible with new cultures and, put simply, it's time to live the dream. 

Coming from South Africa, I have lived a pretty sheltered (and caged-in) life. I haven't had the freedom of movement that my European friends talk about so naturally. Being able to take a train to Germany or Belgium for the day is still a mind-blowing possibility for me and for my loved ones back home, and is something I have worked hard to achieve my whole life. 

 

By day I study a Master's in Media Studies: Digital Cultures at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and by other days, I get in as much travel as possible. This is my travel diary- I hope you like my tales.
